Classic Manhattan

Glassware: Cocktail Glass (“Martini Glass”)


  • Mixing Tin
  • Bar spoon
  • Hawthorne Strainer

Garnish: Brandied Cherry


  • ‍2 oz. Rye Whiskey
  • ‍1/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • ‍Angostura Bitters


In a mixing tin half-filled with ice, combine:

  • 2 oz. Rye Whiskey
  • ¼ oz. Sweet Vermouth

Stir with a bar spoon to chill and dilute.

Strain into a cocktail glass, and add 2 dashes Angostura Bitters.

Garnish with a Brandied Cherry to serve.

James Cagney’s Creamsicle Old Fashioned

Glassware: Rocks Glass

Tools: Mixing tin and pint glass (or a cocktail shaker)

Garnish: None


  • ‍2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • ‍1/2 oz. Vanilla Syrup
  • ‍Orange Bitters (we use Regan’s Orange Bitters No. 6)

In a mixing tin half-filled with ice, combine:

  • 2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • ½ oz. Vanilla Syrup

Cover with a mixing glass and shake until the tin is frosted.

Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, and add 2 dashes Orange Bitters.
